The following policies have been approved by the West Virginia University at Parkersburg Board of Governors. All approved policies and generated guidelines are maintained on this site. The public-viewing of these guidelines, policies and procedures serve as a convenient reference for all members of the institution and community.

A - General

The General policies are intended to ensure effective governance in the best interest of West Virginia University at Parkersburg. Defined below is the process through which the WVU Parkersburg Board of Governors is to conduct business as well as the institution’s statutory responsibilities.

West Virginia University at Parkersburg is an independently-accredited community and technical college. All courses and classes offered for academic credit must be acceptable toward a degree or certificate program. Policy Proposal

The West Virginia University at Parkersburg Board of Governors encourages an active participatory governance at the institution. All policy proposals that come before the Board are open for comment before review and adoption.
