The following policies have been approved by the West Virginia University at Parkersburg Board of Governors. All approved policies and generated guidelines are maintained on this site. The public-viewing of these guidelines, policies and procedures serve as a convenient reference for all members of the institution and community.
The General policies are intended to ensure effective governance in the best interest of West Virginia University at Parkersburg. Defined below is the process through which the WVU Parkersburg Board of Governors is to conduct business as well as the institution’s statutory responsibilities.
West Virginia University at Parkersburg is an independently-accredited community and technical college. All courses and classes offered for academic credit must be acceptable toward a degree or certificate program. The Instruction policies ensure quality education and fair review of all programs offered at the institution.
The Business and Finance policies are designed to protect the assets that provide a physical and capital environment at West Virginia University at Parkersburg. These policies were created to ensure the awareness of the informed and sound judgement the institution has in managing its financial and physical resources.
The West Virginia University at Parkersburg Board of Governors encourages an active participatory governance at the institution. All policy proposals that come before the Board are open for comment before review and adoption.
