The following WVU Parkersburg committees were formed to advanced the quality education, development and inclusive environment for students, faculty and staff.
The Classified Staff Council of West Virginia University at Parkersburg seek to promote a positive work environment for all employees. The formation of the Classified Staff Council, with its representatives, act on behalf and in interest of all campus faculty and staff.
The faculty at WVU Parkersburg has chosen to establish an institutional faculty senate as a representative governing body of faculty of the college. The purpose of the senate is to share information and discuss issues pertaining to and affecting the faculty as well as the effective management of the institution.
Assessments of student learning and development along with the assessment of faculty and staff are ongoing collaborative efforts by the WVU Parkersburg campus community. By documenting and sharing strengths and areas of improvement, there can be positive changes to strengthen curriculum, program and the institution as a whole.

The Student Success Council develops, coordinates and assesses student success from recruitment and retention through achievement of stated goals. The Council establishes target recruitment areas, marketing strategies, assessment benchmarks, and goals for student centeredness and retention. It develops a plan for collaboration and coordination among those who directly affect student success.
The WVU Parkersburg Textbook Affordability Committee consists of faculty, staff, students, administrators and bookstore representatives that meet periodically and advise various campus entities on textbook selection guidelines and educational opportunities.
